Vegan Chai Dark Hot Chocolate
A comforting, warming and decadent vegan chai dark hot chocolate

- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup canned full-fat coconut milk
- 1 & 1/2 cups almond milk
- 2 & 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (use only 1 if you don’t want it too sweet)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Add coconut milk and chocolate chips to a medium saucepan and heat over low-medium, stirring every few minutes with a whisk until the chocolate is completely melted.
Add remaining ingredients, stirring very well with a whisk until completely smooth.
Serve immediately and top with extra chocolate chips or vegan whipped cream.
