Vegan Chai Dark Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup canned full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 & 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 2 & 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (use only 1 if you don’t want it too sweet)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Add coconut milk and chocolate chips to a medium saucepan and heat over low-medium, stirring every few minutes with a whisk until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • Add remaining ingredients, stirring very well with a whisk until completely smooth.
  • Serve immediately and top with extra chocolate chips or vegan whipped cream.
